Christmas festivities and Shapes

his week in Reception we have been getting into the Christmas spirit!
We have been busy having our photographs taken for some very special Christmas cards that we will be making soon. The children have loved getting creative and showing their best festive smiles.

We have also been making some delicious winter drinks and practising our chopping skills using seasonal vegetables to create our own funny potato heads! The children showed great concentration and growing confidence with their tools.

In Maths, we have been exploring 2D shapes and experimenting with folding paper to make squares and rectangles. It has been wonderful to see the children noticing shapes all around them and talking about what they can see.
