First two weeks back!

What a great first couple weeks back after the holiday! 

We have hit the ground running with practice for our upcoming performance.

We were very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with some fantastic staff from Innovate during our workshop at the Pavillion. Where we took part in some drama workshops to prepare to be on stage! This has alleviated a lot of pre-performance jitters. The children really have been working hard at perfecting their performance techniques. 

We also went on a tour of the building where we learnt about its history. I am sure the children have filled you in with all the details. If not do ask: What happened to the original pavillion? Why is one of the rooms called the Ocean Room? Where on the building is the Crow's nest? 

In writing, we have become biographers! 

I am certain that our research will make for an excellent Harvey Milk biography.

These will be typed up next week and be on show in our classroom for all to see. I have felt really proud of the children for their mature approach to our learning. Listening to conversations of their own views on how we should treat one another has been delightful.
