Parent Forum: Your Voice Matters
Hi everyone,
I hope you've all had a wonderful start to February even though it’s been rather wet!!
Building Stronger Partnerships Together
One of my priorities as headteacher is to ensure we work closely with you as parents and carers. Your role in your children's development is vital - you are their first teachers and have the most significant influence in enabling them to grow, mature and form healthy relationships. When we work together as partners, we can provide the best possible support for your children's learning and wellbeing.
Save the Date: Parent Forum
Tuesday 3rd March, 5:00-6:00pm in the school hall
I'm delighted to invite you to our upcoming parent forum. This is your opportunity to:
- Share your views and ideas about school life
- Discuss topics that matter to you and your family
- Help shape our school community
- Connect with other parents
What Would You Like to Discuss?
This forum is for YOU, so I'd love to hear what topics you'd like us to cover. Perhaps you'd like to talk about:
- How we can support your child's learning at home
- Upcoming events and ways to get involved
- Communication between home and school
- Curriculum developments
- Wellbeing and pastoral support
- Or anything else on your mind!
Please email me at headteacher@southill.dorset.sch.uk by Friday 28th February to let me know what you'd like to discuss. This will help me ensure we make the best use of our time together and address the topics most important to you.
Getting Involved
There are many ways you can engage with school life, and I want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to be involved in ways that work for your family. The parent forum is just one of the ways we can strengthen our partnership, and I'm always open to hearing your ideas about other opportunities for parent engagement.
I look forward to seeing many of you on 3rd March and hearing your thoughts. If you're unable to attend but would still like to share your views, please do get in touch.
Warm regards,
Caroline
