Moving Toys and Merry Moments

In DT, we have been learning how to design and make our own toys using recycled materials. Our challenge was to create a toy that could move, which made the task even more exciting.

Most of us decided to make vehicles, such as cars and buses, using boxes, bottle tops, cardboard tubes, and other recycled items. We had to think carefully about how the parts would fit together and how the toy would move.

Some children made fabulous axles so their wheels could turn properly. This helped the vehicles roll smoothly and showed great problem-solving skills and creativity.

The classroom became very messy with all the materials, glue, and cutting, but it was worth it because we had lots of fun. Everyone worked hard, shared ideas, and was proud of their finished toys.

Today, we enjoyed a lovely Christmassy day together. We watched a festive film, made beautiful Christmas cards, and played a fun snowman balancing game that made us laugh a lot.

It was a wonderful way to end the term. Thank you everyone for the gifts and making my first term as a proper teacher an unforgettable and super enjoyable one! Merry Christmas everyone! 🎅❄️🎄
