Rugby Mania!
Rugby Mania in Reception Class! 🏉🌙
What an exciting and action-packed day we had in Reception class!
We were thrilled to welcome a special visitor who came to teach us all about rugby. We learned that rugby isn’t just about running fast and scoring tries – it’s also about respect, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Everyone listened carefully and tried their very best.
We had lots of fun practising our rugby skills. We learned how to score tries, kick the ball really high, and even practised tackling through a tunnel. There was lots of laughter, cheering, and smiling as we gave each activity a go. We felt like real rugby players!
We also really enjoyed looking at photos of ourselves when we were younger. We talked about how we have grown and changed, and we were even able to chronologically order the photos from when we were babies to how we look now. This helped us develop our Understanding of the World, as we explored the difference between the past and the present.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, we also had a very mysterious special delivery… A girl carrying a paintbrush arrived, and we think it might have been Shen from our story, The Magic Paintbrush! She delivered us some special moon biscuits, which was a wonderful surprise.
We celebrated Shen’s bravery for escaping from the evil Emperor by dancing together and enjoying our delicious biscuits. It was a magical way to end a fantastic day.
What a memorable day full of sport, learning, stories, bravery, and fun!
