The Bear Under the Stairs

When we came into school on Wednesday morning,

there was a mysterious bag in the classroom.

It was padlocked, but luckily, we had Detective Murray with us and he cracked the code.

Inside the bag we found some honey, a few crayons and some homophones. We think the bag might have been left by a bear.... Watch this space for some super writing based on our new class book, 'The Bear Under the Stairs'.

In our Stormbreak this week, we have been focussing on relationships. This is always a good way to start the year and begin getting to know the children.

Maths is based on place value and we are revisiting our prior learning of tens and ones. Today we began using the vocab of 'partitioning numbers' which made us feel rather grown up!
