We’ve had a lovely start to Year 1 and the children have settled in really well.

It’s been great to see how quickly they’ve got used to the new routines and the classroom. Everyone’s come in with big smiles and they were all ready to get stuck in!

Over the first few days, we’ve done a range of activities to help the children feel comfortable and excited about learning. There’s been lots of chatting, exploring, drawing, and playing – and plenty of fun along the way.

One of our favourite activities so far was going outside to collect fallen leaves. The children really enjoyed looking for different shapes, sizes and colours. When we got back to class, we used the leaves to make our own tree pictures. They turned out brilliantly and are going to be put on display in the classroom!

It’s been a really positive first few days, and we’re so pleased with how everyone is settling in. We’re looking forward to lots more learning, creativity and fun in the weeks to come!
