In our writing lessons, we’ve been exploring the amazing story Astro Girl. Inspired by the book, we took our learning beyond the page and blasted off into space during PE — right in our classroom! As the weather wasn’t great, we turned the classroom into a mini galaxy and took part in a space-themed yoga session. We watched Cosmic Yoga, where there was a real-life astronaut doing yoga in space — her hair was crazy! We stretched like rockets, balanced like planets, and floated like astronauts, all using our imaginations! 🚀🧑🏼‍🚀🪐

After all that hard work, it was time for our Dojo reward afternoon. We transformed our classroom into a cosy cinema, with bean bags and comfy spaces, and watched the film Turbo — all about a speedy little snail with big dreams! Everyone loved relaxing and enjoying the movie together. It really was lovely!

To finish off the week, we got spooky and scientific with a Halloween experiment! We coloured in some cauldrons, then painted a mixture of bicarbonate of soda, food colouring, and water onto the page. Using pipettes filled with vinegar, we carefully dropped droplets onto our pictures and — BOOM! — we created fizzing, bubbling cauldrons! There were lots of giggles and gasps as our mixtures came to life!
