Air Hockey Madness Takes Over the Hall

What a way to kick off our very first Summer Sports Club of the term!

The hall was transformed into something truly spectacular. Tables and benches lined the space, two goals stood ready at either end, and suddenly… we had a giant air hockey arena! The excitement was buzzing before we had even started.

To warm up, children worked with a partner to pass the puck, getting a feel for the speed and sharpening their reactions. Then came the big moment. Teams were formed. The Greens. The Blues. The Yellows. The competition was on!

With a 6-a-side format and ‘winner stays on’ in play, things quickly became fast, frantic, and fiercely competitive. The puck zipped across the hall at lightning speed as players dived, defended, and celebrated every goal. Cheers echoed, teamwork shone, and determination was everywhere you looked.

And most importantly… it was SUPER FUN!

Time seemed to fly faster than the puck itself as we carefully counted and checked the scores. It was incredibly close:

Green – 7 points
Blue – 8 points
Yellow – 7 points

Just one point in it! A huge congratulations to all three teams for their energy, teamwork, and brilliant sportsmanship. And a special shoutout to our winners… THE BLUES!

A massive thank you goes to Lily for helping to run the club so smoothly. Your support made a huge difference. And an extra big thank you to Lucy and Eileen who kindly stayed behind to help pack everything away. Those dinner tables were no joke!

The pictures do not do justice to what an awesome first session this was! What an unforgettable start to Summer Sports Club. We cannot wait for the next session. I wonder what we will be doing!?
