We’ve reached the end of our second full week of term – I hope you and your children are starting to feel settled into the new routines at Southill Primary. Thank you for your support so far as we get the year off to a great start! The children look super smart in their uniforms.
Scholastic Book Fair – 21, 22 & 23 October
I’m pleased to let you know that we’ll be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair in the school hall after school on 21st, 22nd and 23rd October. This will coincide with our parent consultation evenings, so please do pop in before or after your appointment to browse the books on offer. It’s a great opportunity to pick up some new reads and support our school at the same time.Parent Forum – Tuesday 30th September 5:30–6:30pm
Our Autumn term Parent Forum is coming up soon. We’ll be discussing a range of topics, including:
- Your thoughts on smartphone-free schools
- Our Bright Futures curriculum
- Relationships and Sex Education Policy
- A school pet
We’d love to see as many of you there as possible. If you’d like to come along, or if you have a question you’d like to raise (even if you can’t make it on the night), please email parent.forum@southill.dorset.sch.uk.
Library Volunteers Needed
We’re looking for volunteers to help keep our school library running smoothly – this includes tidying up and shelving books. If you can spare a little time, we’d really appreciate your help. Please let the office know if you’re interested.
Monster Mash Disco – Thursday 16th October
Don’t forget our Monster Mash Disco is coming up soon! Tickets available on the door or by scanning the QR code on the poster below.
SP Diversity Week – Celebrating What Makes Us Unique
The week after next is SP Diversity Week. We’ll be celebrating what makes each of us unique and exploring the importance of embracing our differences as a school community. More details next week ...
Arbor Update
Thank you for your patience while we continue to migrate to Arbor, our new school management system. Like many schools, we’ve had a few teething problems that are unfortunately out of our control. Dorset Council are working hard behind the scenes to get everything running smoothly as soon as possible.
Have a wonderful weekend.
