A Busy Week of Celebrations at Southill Primary
What a wonderful week we've had at Southill Primary! As we near the end of our first half term, there's been so much to celebrate, and I wanted to share some of the highlights with you.
Reception's Library Adventure
Our Reception class had a fantastic trip to the library this week, and I was lucky enough to join them. It was an absolute treat to spend the morning with such ambitious little readers! The children were engaged, curious and showed such enthusiasm for books and stories. Watching them explore the library and choose their own books was a joy - they're already developing a real love of reading.
Autumn Celebration Success
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our autumn celebration and donated to the food bank. Your generosity will make a real difference to families in our local community. It's wonderful to see our school community coming together to support those in need.
Monster Mash Disco
What a spooktacular evening we had at last night's Monster Mash disco! We're incredibly grateful to DJ Paul for providing the perfect Halloween soundtrack, to FOSS for their brilliant organisation, and to all our families who joined us for such a fun-filled event.
New lunch tables have landed!
Our brand new lunch tables arrived today and they're already in action! They're modern, super easy to use, and are going to make lunchtimes so much better for everyone.
A massive thank you to FOSS for helping us fund this purchase – we really couldn't have done it without you!
Year 5's Bristol Space Adventure
Year 5 are currently on their exciting trip to We The Curious in Bristol for their space learning. I hope that the children have an incredible time exploring and learning, and that they come back full of enthusiasm and new knowledge.

Parent Consultation Meetings
Next week, we have our parent evening meetings, and we're looking forward to welcoming you all into school. Here are the important details:
When: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3.30 onwards
Important information:
- Entry: We're asking all families to come in through the hall
- Scholastic Book Fair: The book fair will be set up in the hall, so please pop in and browse before or after your meeting. It's a great opportunity to choose books for your children
- Meet the Governors: Our governors will also be in the hall and available to answer any questions you might have about the school
- Children welcome: Your children are very welcome to attend the meetings with you
Year 4's Roman Adventure
On Thursday next week, Year 4 will be heading off on their Roman adventure. We're sure they'll have a wonderful time bringing their history learning to life!
Half term reminder
Just a quick reminder that we break up for half term next Friday. We'll see everyone back at school on Monday 3rd November.
