I haven't been well this week in case you're wondering why you haven't seen me. I'm on the mend and hoping to be back next week and looking forward to seeing everyone again.
I'm particularly sad to be missing the Festive Fair this afternoon – I know how much work has gone into making it a special event for our school community. I hope you all have a wonderful time!
A huge thank you to Matt and all the staff who have kept things running so smoothly during my absence. Their dedication and hard work have ensured that everything has continued seamlessly for our children and families.

There are two wonderful trips to look forward to:
Reception will be visiting Poole Lighthouse for a magical performance of Jan Fearnley's book Little Robin Red Vest – what a festive treat!
Year 3 are heading off on their residential to Leeson House in Swanage, where they'll enjoy outdoor adventures and a special Christmas dinner to make it extra memorable! I know they're going to have an amazing time!
These trips are just two examples of our exceptional personal development offer at Southill Primary. We're incredibly proud of the rich and varied opportunities we provide for all our children – from cultural experiences and outdoor learning to developing their character, confidence and sense of belonging. These experiences are at the heart of what makes our school special and help every child to thrive, both in school and beyond.
Could you help with future trips?
We're looking to create a 'bank' of volunteers – people who could be called upon to help out with day trips throughout the year. If you're able to offer your time occasionally to support these wonderful experiences for our children, we'd love to hear from you.
