The Mermaid of Zennor

In Year 4, we have been completely captivated by the enchanting tale of The Mermaid of Zennor. Through our writing journey, we have explored the legend in depth, uncovering its mystery, atmosphere, and rich Cornish heritage.

Inspired by the story, the children stepped into the role of tour guides, bringing the village of Zennor to life for others. They worked incredibly hard to create beautiful and persuasive tourist leaflets, encouraging visitors to explore this magical place. Their writing has been full of imagination, detail,  and enthusiasm, truly reflecting their love for the legend.

We are so proud of their engagement and the passion they have shown. The legend of Zennor has certainly made a lasting impression on Year 4!
