Welcome Back to Autumn 2
Hello everyone,
It's wonderful to have everyone back for what is honestly my favourite half term of the year! There's so much to look forward to as we build up to Christmas, but before we get too carried away with festive excitement, we have a brilliant block of learning time ahead of us. I'm really pleased with how well the children have settled into their new topics and projects.
Non-Fiction November 📚
This month, we're celebrating all things non-fiction! The children are buzzing with curiosity and we can't wait to discover fascinating facts together. We've invested in some brilliant new non-fiction books for our library, covering everything from space exploration to wildlife, and the children are already diving into them with enthusiasm.
Anti-Bullying Week 🧦
Next week is Anti-Bullying Week, and Emma, our PSHE Lead, has planned some really important activities for all our pupils.
We're kicking off on Monday with Odd Socks Day! This is a fun way to celebrate what makes us all unique and different. Odd Socks Day is all about expressing ourselves and celebrating individuality – because just like our socks, we're all wonderfully different, and that's what makes our school community so special!
We'd love your children to join in by wearing odd socks if they'd like to (don't worry, they don't need to be fancy – just two different socks will do the trick!). Throughout the week, we'll be talking about kindness, respect and how we can all work together to make sure everyone feels safe, valued and included at Southill Primary.

Welcome to Our New Midday Supervisors 🌟
We're delighted to welcome our new team of midday supervisors who have joined us this term. They're doing a fantastic job supporting the children during lunchtimes, and we're thrilled to have them as part of our school community.
