11.5.26 2%er Assembly – Celebrating Achievement and Self-Worth

What a fantastic start to the week! Our Monday assembly was packed with celebrations, recognising the incredible achievements of our pupils both in and out of school.

Inspiration from Sir David Attenborough

We began our assembly by celebrating the remarkable Sir David Attenborough, one of the world's most famous broadcasters, who turned 100 on Friday 8 May. Over the course of his career, he's done some incredible things, like overseeing some of the first ever colour-television broadcasts, and diving 1000ft underwater in a submarine at the age of 88.

Sir David's lifelong curiosity, dedication, and passion for learning remind us all that we can achieve extraordinary things when we believe in ourselves and never stop exploring.

Word Millionaires

A huge congratulations to our latest Word Millionaires who have reached this impressive reading milestone. Your dedication to reading is truly inspiring, and we're so proud of your commitment to reaching one million words!

Out of School Achievements

We were delighted to hear about the many wonderful things our pupils have been doing outside of school. It's always a joy to celebrate the diverse talents and interests of our Southill children, and we love hearing about your accomplishments beyond the classroom.

Please do keep sharing your out-of-school achievements with us – whether it's sports, music, dance, community activities, or personal milestones. We want to celebrate them all!

Stormbreak Focus: Self-Worth

This week, our Stormbreak focus is on self-worth. We talked with the children about recognising their own value, celebrating what makes them unique, and understanding that everyone has something special to contribute to our school community.

Have a wonderful week!
