A Glowing Performance from Team Southill
GLOW IN THE DARK HANDBALL… Say whaaat!? And yes, it was every bit as brilliant as it sounds…
Today, Southill headed to Redlands for a glow-tastic handball tournament, with Year 4 taking to the court in the morning and Year 5 lighting things up in the afternoon.
After a quick run through of the rules and the application of some truly dazzling glow warrior war paint, it was game on. The lights went out, the neon came alive and the children absolutely shone.
Year 4 Morning Matches

What a glowing start. For a team who had never played handball before, the Year 4s were simply electric. They picked up the rules in a flash and played with incredible determination and teamwork. Three wins out of four matches is something to really beam about.

The Year 5s truly lit up the afternoon, winning four out of five matches in a glowing display of skill and teamwork. Even better, every single player got on the scoresheet, which made the whole team shine that little bit brighter.
Final Thoughts
Both teams were absolutely amazing today and represented Southill with pride, passion and determination. From first timers to confident competitors, every child played their part in a day that was nothing short of…luminous!
A HUGE thank you to Mr. Frampton for trying his upmost to capture the action on his camera. How he managed to get any photos is beyond me! All I saw were streaks of colour.
Safe to say, this was a performance that will GLOW down in Southill history.
