A Wonderful Week in Reception! 

What an absolutely fantastic week we've had in Reception! The children have been working incredibly hard and we couldn't be prouder of everything they've achieved.

Writing Adventures with The Extraordinary Gardener

Our writing this week has been inspired by the beautiful story The Extraordinary Gardener, and the children have produced some truly amazing work! We've been making the most of our own sensory garden at school, using it to spark ideas and inspire the children's writing. It's been wonderful to see them explore the garden, noticing the colours, textures, and smells, and then bringing all of those observations into their writing. They really are extraordinary writers!

Maths Superstars

In maths, the children have been working hard on building numbers 9 and 10, and exploring number bonds. They've shown great determination and are making brilliant progress with their understanding of how numbers work. Well done, Reception!

Wacky Hair for Comic Relief

The children came to school looking absolutely amazing today with their wacky hair for Comic Relief! It was so much fun to see all the creative and colourful hairstyles – thank you for supporting this wonderful cause.

A Special Visit from Melanie

We had a lovely surprise this week when Melanie called in to see everyone! The children were so pleased to see her and couldn't wait to tell her about all the amazing things we've been doing. We're already looking forward to having her back after the Easter holidays!
