Amazing artefacts - but where are they from?

To kick off our new book The Thames and Tide Club, I gave the children a selection of different artefacts. They do not know (yet) where they came from, who they belong to, what some of them are used for as I have not yet revealed the title of our new book!

The questions that the children had were: "What does this do?", "How is this used?", "Who do you think owned something like this?" They also debated on some items, with one person thinking that a thimble was a tiny cup, others thought it was a hat for a tiny doll!

Hearing their thoughts, questions and excitement for the objects was uplifting and really got their brains working!
