Dancing into Easter: A Fitness Friday to Remember
Fitness Friday went full festival mode this week and the playground turned into an open air disco that would put most dance floors to shame. Children arrived buzzing with energy, ready to bust out moves like nobody was watching and for once… nobody really was.
From the moment the music kicked in, it was hit after hit. The Cha Cha Slide had everyone stepping in perfect unison, the Hokey Cokey made a triumphant return (still an absolute classic), and the Macarena swept through the crowd like a joyful wave of organised chaos. There were spins, claps, questionable timing, bold improvisations and at least a few future dance legends in the making.
The atmosphere was electric. Laughter echoed across the playground, trainers squeaked in rhythm and even the most reluctant dancers found themselves tapping a foot or two. It was one of those moments where everyone joins in, no matter their age, and the result is pure magic.
A huge shoutout goes to our brilliant Bronze Ambassadors who didn’t just join in, they led the charge. Their enthusiasm was contagious and their energy set the tone for the whole event. True role models in rhythm and spirit.
Special thanks must also go to Mr. Frampton who, despite enjoying retirement, set his alarm early and returned to action to capture the magic as our official Southill School photographer. Proof that you can retire from work but not from great moments.
And just like that, we wrap up Fitness Friday for this term on a glittering high note. What a way to finish.
Wishing everyone a joyful and restful Easter break. Get outside, have fun, enjoy time with family… and maybe go easy on the Easter eggs. Or at least pretend to.
