Easter Assembly with Rev'd Dan from Emmanuel Church
This afternoon, we were delighted to welcome Rev'd Dan from Emmanuel Church to lead a special Easter assembly for our pupils.
The Symbol of the Cross
Rev'd Dan shared with us the significance of the cross and what it means to Christians during the Easter period. The children listened attentively as he explained how this important symbol represents hope, love and new beginnings for Christians around the world. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to deepen their understanding of this significant religious festival.
Celebrating Our Community
As well as learning about Easter, we also took time to celebrate some important moments in our school community:
Birthdays - We gave a special mention to all the children who have birthdays coming up this week and during the Easter holidays. Rev'd Dan told us it was his birthday too so he also got a chocolate bar! We hope you all have wonderful celebrations with your families.
Out-of-School Achievements - We were thrilled to hear about the fantastic things our pupils have been achieving outside of school. It's always wonderful to celebrate the diverse talents and interests of our Southill children, whether in sports, arts, music or other activities.
Thank You
A huge thank you to Rev'd Dan for taking the time to visit us and share such an engaging assembly with our school community. We're grateful for the strong links we have with Emmanuel Church.
We wish everyone a peaceful and happy Easter break.
