Forest School week 2

We had a super sunny Forest School session today. We reminded ourselves of the Forest School rules around the campfire before lighting it for the first time. Some of the children helped me add wood to the fire before we settled in to leaf rubbing and using sticks and wool to make some beautiful dragon's eyes! These are really fiddly to make but the children persevered and all succeeded. Some were even confident enough to help others who were finding it tricky. We downed tools to toast marshmallows on the fire and sandwiched them between biscuits. Yum! A lovely chilled afternoon with lots of quiet concentration and determination in action.
