Getting Ready for Sports Day! 🏅🏃‍♀️🎽

Yesterday in PE, we were been busy preparing for our exciting Sports Day next half term! The children have shown fantastic enthusiasm, determination, and teamwork as they practised a variety of fun activities and races.

Our athletics unit this half term has supported us in refining our skills in running races, focusing on speed, coordination, and perseverance. The children have worked hard to improve their technique and have enjoyed cheering each other on as they raced to the finish line.

In the three-legged race, the children learned the importance of communication, balance, and working together as a team. There were lots of smiles and laughter as partners tried to stay in sync while racing across the field!

The sack race has been great fun while helping the children develop their balance, agility, and coordination. The children loved bouncing their way to the finish and challenging themselves to improve each time.

Another exciting activity was the tyre pull challenge. This required lots of strength, determination, and resilience as the children worked hard to pull the tyres as quickly as possible. They showed fantastic effort and really encouraged one another throughout the activity.

We cannot wait for Sports Day next half term and are looking forward to seeing the children showcase all the amazing skills they have been practising!
