Headteacher's Blog

What a fantastic week it's been, especially for our youngest children at Southill Primary!

A Week of Wonder in Key Stage 1

Our Year 1 pupils were absolutely captivated this week when they received a very special visit from historical heroine Florence Nightingale herself! The children were enthralled as they learned about her incredible work and dedication to caring for others. It was wonderful to see their faces light up as history came alive in the classroom.

Meanwhile, our talented Year 2 pupils have been busy creating some truly brilliant clay castle sculptures. The creativity, attention to detail and craftsmanship they've shown has been outstanding. Next week, the children will be painting their castles, adding the finishing touches to what are already impressive pieces of work. I can't wait to see the final results!

Looking Ahead

Next week marks our last week of the spring term. As we head towards the Easter break, please note that next Friday is a non-uniform day. Children are welcome to wear their own clothes to school – we just ask that clothing is appropriate for a school day and suitable for outdoor play.

Thank you all for your continued support this term. We're looking forward to a wonderful final week before the holiday.

Warm regards,

Caroline
