Immersed in Rivers!

Today, our hall was transformed into a rushing river as we dived into an exciting learning adventure! Using our imaginations, we travelled from the source of a river high in the mountains all the way to its mouth, discovering everything that happens along the journey.

We splashed through bubbling streams, rushed over roaring waterfalls, twisted around winding meanders and met the many animals and people who depend on rivers every day. Along the way, we learned lots of new geographical vocabulary, including source, tributary, meander, estuary and mouth.

Our immersive adventure helped us understand how rivers shape the landscape and why they are so important for wildlife, communities and the environment. The children loved bringing their learning to life through movement, imagination and teamwork!
