People who help us!

This week, we have had lots of fun using our imaginations to create our own stories and dressing up as a variety of different characters. We have particularly enjoyed pretending to be people who help us in our community. Some of us dressed up as astronauts and imagined travelling into space, while others became police officers and explored how they help to keep people safe.

Through our reading books, stories and conversations, we have been learning about the many different people who help us and the important jobs they do. The children have enjoyed sharing what they already know, asking questions and talking about people they may see in their everyday lives. Our role-play has encouraged the children to develop their communication and language skills as they acted out different scenarios, shared ideas and worked together to create imaginative stories.

During our PE lessons, we have also been learning about the importance of working as part of a team. The children have been practising listening carefully, following instructions, taking turns and encouraging their friends. They have shown great enthusiasm when trying new activities and have been developing their confidence, coordination and physical skills.

It has been wonderful to see the children becoming more confident in expressing their ideas and using their creativity through play. They have shown curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the week and have enjoyed discovering how different people help and care for others in our community. We are very proud of the way they have worked together, supported one another and joined in with our learning.
