Y6: SATs The Way, Uh Huh, Uh Huh!
What a week it has been for Year 6! SATs week is now complete and I honestly could not be prouder of the way the children conducted themselves from start to finish. They approached every single day with focus, calmness and resilience, showing exactly how much they have matured this year.
Of course, SATs can feel a little daunting at times, but the class handled everything brilliantly. They supported one another, kept their spirits high and showed fantastic determination throughout the week. Most importantly of all, they gave every paper their best effort - and that is all we could ever ask for.
This afternoon, the children celebrated in style with a lovely class party which they organised themselves. There were sports, games, music, laughter and lots of well deserved fun after such a demanding week. To top it all off, the ice cream van arrived for a very special treat! A huge thank you to FOSS for organising this - the children were absolutely thrilled.
I was so impressed with the positive atmosphere all week long. The encouragement the children showed each other, the smiles they kept on their faces and the mature attitude they brought into school every morning made this a really special week to be part of.
A massive congratulations to all of Year 6. You should all feel incredibly proud of yourselves because we certainly are. Well done, everyone!
