Scientists at work!

Last week, the children of Year 3 began their Animals including humans science topic.  Whilst learning about the importance of bones and muscles the children conducted an investigation which asked "Can you throw further if you have longer arms?"

The children worked in pairs to measure each others arms (and legs!) and record the data.  The following day the research was carried out and children used metre sticks to measure the throw of each child.  The results were then compared.

It was a lot of fun taking the learning outside and the children took measuring in metres and centimetres very seriously!
