The Purr-fect Afternoon

Year 1 Had the Best Afternoon Ever… or Maybe I Did! 

What an unforgettable afternoon we had in Year 1! Although I have to admit, I think I might have enjoyed more than the children!

Thanks to the wonderful Mrs Howe, my kitten Murphy came to visit our classroom. Murphy had just been to the vets, so he was feeling a little sleepy, which made him the perfect calm visitor for our class.

The children all know how much I love cats - I talk about my cats all the time! So, what better way to share that passion than by bringing my real kitten in to meet everyone?

Murphy was quite happy staying safely in his carrier, but that didn't stop the excitement. Every single child was incredibly gentle, calm and respectful around him. It was so lovely to see how caring they all were. Some of the children were even lucky enough to receive a little nose rub from Murphy, which definitely made their day!

As if kitten cuddles weren't enough, Mrs Howe also surprised us all with ice creams. It really was the perfect way to round off such a special afternoon.

Kittens and ice creams... what more could you ask for? It was pure bliss and a memory we'll all treasure for a long time!
