Y6: Electrifying Gothic Castles
In just 7 sessions, from concept drawings to conclusions, the incredibly creative and clever Year 6 have made some absolutely brilliant gothic castle models. This was the brief - their castles:
- Had to have at least one truly gothic architectural feature such as spires, buttresses, pointed arches and decorations such as gargoyles.
- Needed to resemble a gothic castle in a fun, purposefully cartoony way.
- Needed to be strong and robust.
- Had to be painted with colours that enhance its mood.
- If possible include a simple circuit to light up from inside, for example.
I'll let you be the judges, but I'm sure you'll agree they really rose to the challenge! So much resilience and resourcefulness was on display at all times, and every pupil had a great attitude towards the project. They were all so excited by it, which was really nice to see.
Well done, Year 6!
