Have YOU got what it takes to be a Bronze Ambassador?
Four years ago, Southill Primary School began selecting sports leaders to help ensure that all pupils have amazing sporting opportunities and lead healthy and active lifestyles. Since introducing this programme, its popularity has sky-rocketed and we have witnessed some truly incredible initiatives, such as: Fitness Thursdays, fitness fundraisers (like the Colour Run, Obstacle Course and the 2-Square Tournament), preparing and leading a Sports Week and organising clubs and activities for younger children in the school.
Due to its ever-growing popularity, we have decided to make the selection process a little different this year. In order to have a chance of becoming a Bronze Ambassador, we ask that Year 4 pupils write a letter, prepare a PowerPoint presentation or send in a video detailing why they should be chosen. This could include:
-Why you feel you would make a good ambassador?
-What do you love about sport?
-Have you demonstrated leadership in other ways already?
-What sports do you currently do in and outside of school?
-If you were chosen, how would you help?
-Do you have any ideas that you feel could improve our sports provision?
Whilst the final decision will still be made by me, it will give me a true indication as to who is really passionate about becoming a pioneer in sport and healthy lifestyles here at Southill. Letters/presentations/videos need to be in before half term and the children selected will be told before Sports Week.
